Usher's Tasks

Picture
  • Arrive at least 20 min. early.
  • Be welcoming to parishioner's by greeting them.
  • Hand sanitizer should be offered to people.  Tracking and registration of parishioners is no longer required
  • Parishioners may be offered a mask, but is not required.
  • People may seat themselves where they like. Any one sitting on the right side of the church is asked to wear a mask.
  • Be courteous to people and avoid policing, aggressiveness, or confrontations.
  • Ushers will continue to take up the collections and bring the baskets to the sanctuary. 
  • At the time of the prayers of the faithful, please x off any seats that are occupied on the seating charts. This will allow you to sanitize the upholstery after mass.
  • Bulletins will be passed out in the Narthex after mass.
  • People may exit from all doors.
  • Ushers will assist with sanitizing the upholstery seats and door handles after people have left. Bathrooms are to be left alone.

Lectors' Tasks

  • Arrive at least 20 min. early.
  • Let farther know you are here and you will be the lector for this mass.
  • Lectors should remain in the chair, we have specially placed near the ambo, unless they wish to sit with a family member in the body of the church. 
  • Please remember to look over the pre and post mass announcements and the prayers of the faithful before mass. If you are unfamiliar with a word, please speak to the pastor.
  • Lectors should receive communion  before the congregation.
  • They are responsible for helping to bag the collection after mass, always accompanies by the EM or another minister.

Eucharistic Ministers' Tasks

  • Arrive at least 20 min. early.
  • Let farther know you are here and you will be the EM for this mass.
  • The washing station is now located in the choir area, to make it less obvious. It is used if you touch the tongue, lips, or hands of a communicant. Stop if they contaminate your fingers and wash up before continuing to give out communion.
  • Masks should be worn while distributing communion.
  • Communion is permitted either permitted on the tongue or in the hand. Don't discourage people from communion in any way or make them wait till the end.
  • Communion is permitted only in the form of the host, not the chalice.
  • Make sure that the communicant consumes the host and doesn't carry it away. 
  • Please clean up washing station as usual.
  • Please assist the lector with the bagging of the collection. Always two people!​
