The St. Benedict Society is a society of Catholic men and women dedicated to building up parish life by advancing in spirituality, and the performance of good works.
What We Do
This parish ministry arranges for parish retreats, guest speakers, and days of reflection, while assisting in the actual presentation of same. The Saint Benedict Society directs its efforts at specific works of charity, such as preparing Christmas Baskets for the needy. Further, the ministry aids the pastor in executing maintenance and improvements to the parish structures, and buildings. By sponsoring and organizing such fund raising events as might be deemed necessary the ministry raises needed funds used to meet parish ministry goals. Finally the Saint Benedict Society provides a social outlet for like minded parish members.
Membership
All active Catholics are eligible to be members.
Active membership requires one to pay dues. Dues are eighteen dollars ($20)per couple, twelve dollars ($12) for a single membership ,or twenty five ($25) per family.
It also requires that each member actively participate in at least one ministry event in each calendar year.
Each member receives a blessed medal of St. Benedict as a sign of their membership, and as a reminder of their commitment to "Ora et Labora".
